PALESTINIAN TOT TRAINER
The training started at 9:00 a.m. and finished at 9:00 p.m. for eight continuous days. The Palestinian team worked with full enthusiasm and great effort to understand the nature of the Programme, training techniques and develop the required knowledge and skills to become a professional trainer. They worked on tailoring the current content to meet the requirements of education, teachers and students in Palestine.
The official Programme in Palestine was launched on Saturday 9th of February 2019 with a general introductory session. The Palestinian M.O.E official representatives and participating candidates attended this event. On 16th of February, the first training workshop of this Programme started in Ramallah, Nablus and Hebron. All hundred participants attended these workshops.
The training programme ended in May the 11th 2019 with the attendance of Mrs. Kim Parker – a Cambridge Programme leader- and Dr. Nasser for evaluating the effect of the training programme on the trainees. Both Mrs. Kim and Dr. Nasser met with the trainees and feedback sessions were held.
All trainees expressed their joy and happiness in taking part in this programme. They experienced the positive impact of the programme on their learners inside the classroom. They mentioned that their understanding, knowledge and skills were developed effectively and noticeably during the training period.In January 18th 2019, SmartED hosted ten trainers from Palestine to attend a tailored especial T.O.T training in Amman at SmartED premises to prepare and qualify them for training ninety MOE teachers from all territories in Palestine. These teachers with the ten trainers are seeking Cambridge International Certificate in Teaching and Learning as phase one of our project of qualifying Palestinian Trainers which is conducted in collaboration with the Palestinian Ministry of Education.
